I hate to admit it, but I've been picking up the spinning rod for the local creek and pulling tons of bass. Part of me still loves fishing plastics in 90 degree weather.
Also, did anyone else in PA get the hail storm last week? It was crazy!

Fishing is fishing...doesn't matter how you do it, just as long as you are enjoying it while you are out there. glad you are getting into some bass!
ReplyDeleteHail in Fort Collins last week :-)
i dont blame you... when i take my fly rod out i usually carry a collapsible spinning rod too in case i get the urge to through something else. i was actually on the east branch this morning and pulled out an 18.5 inch smallie on a black wooly bugger... that was the only fish intrested in it... but it was still the biggest ive taken from that stream. we still need to meet up sometime!
ReplyDeleteVery nice bass! And yes I was caught in that storm on the middle of the Turnpike. That was fun....(not really.)
ReplyDeleteTurn in your feathers and tippet at the door.
ReplyDeleteStealth has the right idea. Two rods equals double the applications. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI'm having some good luck lately with 3" Senkos for Smallmouth.
