  2. Somewhere I suspect that chicken might be freezing. PETA might chastise you for stealing a chickens jacket but I think that streamer is worth it!!

  5. Hey Dub. Tying question. Why are some spools such tight asses? Some thread comes off so nicely I don't want to change cause I'm cranking them out. Sometimes I'm trying to crank out and the thread is being a tight bitch. I'm sure it's not the bobbin or the beer. Well it might be the bobbin. Ever experience this? Thanks and belated congratulations on the new mouth!

  7. Thanks everyone!

    Hawk...a few things..

1.It can depend on the thread. If some thread is old and maybe had some water damage (maybe you got it on clearance, or from someone's old collection), it could stick together more on the spool. Try unraveling it and then twisting it back up. That might help.

2.Loosen the arms on your bobbin. Pull them out a little bit. Also make sure the thread isnt wrapped around one of your bobbin arms. (beginner's mistake, but I've seen it happen)

3.Get a better bobbin. The Rite bobbin is supposedly really good. A lot of people swear by it. I stick with Dr. Slick porcelain for most of my tying.

4.Is there a spool cap or stick on the end of your spool? Try taking it off.

  8. Thanks Dub. Not 1, tried 2&4. The bobbin came with a tying kit. Upgraded vise last year. Think it's time for a#3 upgrade. Thanks for your input. So slick or rite? What would you get if you could only have 1?
