Real or photoshopped?

  1. My bet is real. I've seen some large orange pond carp in Elkhorn Creek that have escaped from a fish hatchery.

  2. I say real. But it looks like he is holding the fish closer to the camera than someone might think (look at he size of his fingers realtive to legs....or does he just have giant hands?). I have seen some released coi and carp that have grown to ridiculous sizes and can belive it.

  3. 100% real. forced perspective.

short focal length lens, note barrel distortion along sides and elongated legs showing extremely short length in use. we're talking 20-24mm in the 135 format.

clever posing of the model. he's got what's a damned big carp held out from his body, note the signficant gap between the fishes' shoulder and his. grossly over proportioned hand, as well.

its a mammoth fish, sure, but not as big as you're led to believe.

  4. I think its shopped....it takes great effort to hold afish that size that far from your body. it isnt even phasing him.

  5. I'm leaning towards real, but not 100% sure. I've seen some huge golden carp/koi/goldfish or whatever the hell that is in some local ponds, but nothing bigger than 3-4 lbs.

  6. look at the size of his hand in comparison to his body. its probly real but holdinging it far from his body, oldest trick in the book for showing off a fish(straight arm).

  7. Hope it's real but... Fake. what's he looking at? a shit eating grin would be appropriate, or a little more of a "strained" look holding a fat ass like that straight armed. Don't know though.

  13. 100% Real, and I would put my moeny on a UK fish as well although not 100% on that one.

Carp fishing over here is mega business and I know of atleast 5 lakes eithin a half hour drive of my home that have koi carp over 30lbs in them, and they would eat that little midget carp he is holding lol.
